The Overture in the French Style is the colossal first movement of Bach's Partita in B minor, BWV 831. Originally composed by Bach for a 2-manual harpsichord, Mark Starr has arranged this French overture for Baroque orchestra -- that is, for oboe, oboe d'amore, English horn, 2 bassons, strings and harpsichord continuo.
