This is an arrangement by Mark Starr of the introduction to Fauré's Ballade, Opus 19. It does not include the Allegro section.

Originally, Fauré composed the Ballade for piano solo. Later, he revised the work for piano and full orchestra. It is Fauré's original composition for piano solo that served as the source for this arrangement for solo violin and string orchestra.
